President Waheed visits Gayoom

President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has visited former President Al-ustaz Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.

The President was accompanied by his wife Ilham Hussain in his visit to Gayoom’s residence M. Endherimaage.

Former President Gayoom said during the meeting that he and his family are honored by the President and his wife’s visit to his residence.

Gayoom also felicitated Waheed, noting that last night was their first meeting since Waheed assumed the post of President of Maldives. He said that PPM and his family will assist and cooperate with Waheed’s government.

President Waheed expressed delight for being given the opportunity to hold the meeting, and thanked Gayoom for his and PPM’s support for him. President Gayoom’s daughters Dhunya Maumoon, Yumna Maumoon and sons Faris Maumoon and Ghassan Maumoon were also present at the meeting.
