Police have arrested 12 people under court order in relation to fights between groups in two different locations in Fuvahmulah on Tuesday.
Police said, amongst the 12 people, 4 were arrested for involvement in a similar assaults on Monday. The fights took place in two locations; next to the patrol shed in harbour area and near Milo Football Stadium.
Police said the arrested include; three 19-year-olds males, three 20-year-old males, one 21-year-old male, one 18-year-old male, three 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old minor.
Police said that the 21-year-old, a 19-year-old and two 17-year-olds were arrested yesterday for also being involved in an assault that took place on Monday. The court has extended their detention by 15 days.
Police said that he men arrested have a history of assault and drug abuse, including criminal records. Fuvahmulah police station is investigating the two incidents.
