Elections Commission (EC) on Tuesday relieved some extra staff hired for the presidential election.
Hired on a temporary basis to carry out administrative work for the election, the staff were relieved until the Supreme Court issues a verdict on the case by Jumhoory Party contesting the first round results.
A staff told Sun that the EC has asked them to not attend office until a Supreme Court verdict is issued.
EC Secretary General Asim Abdul Sattar said today that they have halted all administrative work for the election.
