Chief of Defence Force twitter account is fake, says MNDF

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) made an announcement on Wednesday that the Twitter account displaying a profile of the Chief of Defence Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam is not authentic.

MNDF published a statement calling on Twitter users to be aware of the account @GeneralAshiyam, Ahmed Shiyam, and said that the Chief of Defence Force has never before held an account on Twitter or Facebook.
