Elections Commission has called on political parties to carry out their activities such that it does not disrupt the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level (O-Level) examinations due to start on Saturday.
In a statement on Wednesday, the commission called on all political parties to plan their activities such that the students preparing for the examinations will not face difficulties.
“We advice all political parties and groups who conduct political activities to obey the constitution and the laws of the State and to ensure that students preparing for the SSC and GCE O-Level examinations do not face disruption through the group’s rights to exercise of the freedom of expression and freedom to assembly,” the EC statement read.
