Motorcycle torched in Gaafu Alif Viligili

A motorcycle has been torched in Gaafu Alif Viligili early morning today.

The motorcycle was torched while parked inside a garage next to a house named Bird House.

A resident of Bird House, Ahmed Hilmy told Sun the motorcycle belongs to his father-in-law and that it is believed to be a result of the political unrest that took place on the island last night.

Hilmy said that his own cycle, also parked inside the carpentry was left unharmed.

He said that arsonists had broken into the carpentry by breaking a window and that they had stolen some equipment from the carpentry, including parts of the motorcycle, before setting the fire.

Police media official confirmed that they received a report of the arson attack in Gaafu Alif Viligili early this morning, but said that they have made no arrests.
