Police launch manhunt for five suspects related to Criminal Court cases

The police have launched a manhunt for five suspects related to cases in progress at the Criminal Court.

The police said that the Criminal Court has ordered to detain the suspects, whose whereabouts are unknown, in order to produce them in court.

The five suspects are Abdulla Saeed, Dhaftharu; Hussain Nasih, V. Fresh View; Hussain Shifau, Ma. Honeysuckle; Adam Saleem, Yaagoothuge, Haa Dhaalu Dhidhdhoo; and Hussain Azraf, Adduge, Seenu Hithadhoo.

The police said that Abdulla Saeed and Hussain Nasih are wanted by the court in relation to fraud and alcohol cases respectively. They have both been summoned to Criminal Court for 9:00 a.m. on Monday (tomorrow).

In addition, Hussain Shifau and Adam Saeed have been summoned for 10:00 a.m. on 26 September. The accusations against them have not yet been disclosed.

Hussain Azraf has been accused of attacking a police officer. The official notification summoning him to court was delivered, but he failed to appear in Hithadhoo Magistrate Court earlier. He has been summoned for 11:00 a.m. on 24 September.
