High Court denies JP

The High Court has ruled that there are no grounds to issue an order to delay the announcement of the official result of the first round of the presidential election, as requested by Jumhooree Party (JP).

This ruling came after the court assessed the reasons behind JP’s request to issue an order upon the Elections Commission to delay the announcement of the official result of the first round of the election, in relation to the complaints regarding the election mentioned in the case filed to the court by JP.

JP had also requested the court to order the Elections Commission to provide the voters’ list and ballot box sheets to the party.
