National Registration to process ID cards until 6 p.m. today

Department of National Registration has decided to extend their National Identification Card processing services until 6:00 p.m. today, in an effort to allow as many people cast their ballots for the presidential election this Saturday.

Director of DNR Fareed Yousuf told Sun that that they will instantly process all ID card requests they received today.

“We decided to extend because today is the last day [for the public] to obtain ID cards before the elections. So we have opened the opportunity to those who want to make new ID cards, and those who want to renew old ones,” Farred said.

Director of the Department of National Registration said that although they’ve extended their working hours today, there are not any people on queue to get their ID cards processed.
