Foreign national stabbed in Male

A foreign national has been stabbed near the track area in Male’ at 8:15 pm last night.

A foreign national was also stabbed near Galolhu Madharusa earlier last night.

The police said that a 36-year-old Bangladeshi man was attacked and injured on his back in the incident, and that he is undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

It has not yet been possible to obtain IGMH’s comment on this incident.

This case is under investigation by the Maldives Police Serious and Organized Crime Department.
