Three arrested for vandalising campaign flags

Three individuals including a minor have been arrested for vandalising campaign flags of different political parties on the streets of Male’.

The police said that the suspects are men aged 20, 31 and 17.

The 31-year-old and the 17-year-old were arrested near Zikra Mosque, while the 20-year-old was arrested near Henveyru Stadium, said the police.

The police said that the three people include people who have criminal records for abusing children, drug crimes, and disobeying orders.

This case regarding vandalism of campaign flags is under investigation by the Criminal investigation Department of the Maldives Police Service.
