Missing man in Thilafushi found dead in the sea

A Bangladeshi man who went missing in the industrial island of Thilafushi has been found dead in the sea.

Police revealed that 45 year old Samar Bis Saas was reported missing around 10:50 p.m. on Monday night. The 5-foot tall man was last reported to have gone fishing to a docked barge on the northern side of BMC site in Thilafushi, according to the police.

Samar Bis Saas was discovered dead in around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning near the area where he was known to have gone fishing.

Referring to doctors at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), police said that Samar Bis Saas was already dead when he was taken to the hospital.
