High Court orders detention of manager of Guraidhoo Power Station

The High Court has ordered the detention of the manager of Thaa Guraidhoo Power Station, after he was accused of repeatedly abusing two minors, a boy and a girl.

The court ordered today to detain Manager of Thaa Guraidhoo Power Station, Ahmed Fuad, for a period of 15 days.

This High Court order followed a decision by the Guraidhoo Magistrate Court to release Ahmed Fuad, which was appealed in High Court by the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The police said that the girl and boy involved in this case are aged 17 and 13 respectively.

The case is under investigation by Maldives Police Service.
