Police release sketch of Hulhumale

The police have released a sketch of the man sought on suspicion of raping a 19-year-old girl in Hulhumale’.

The police said in a statement tonight that the suspect sought in relation to the rape that took place at around 09:30 last Saturday is about 5 ft 7 in tall, and had short hair at the time of the incident.

The police said that the suspect travelled to Male’ after the incident, on the 10:00 ferry.

The suspect had a badly injured right-hand index finger, and was wearing greyish shirt and pants on the day of the incident, said the police.

The police said that search is ongoing, and 1,600 people have been checked so far in relation to this incident.
