The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has ended the suspension period for Vilingili Court Magistrate Hassan Najeeb.
Hassan Najeeb was suspended after he was charged by the State for using his post to provide undue advantage to a particular group.
The Criminal Court found Hassan Najeeb not guilty of the charges, and this ruling has also been upheld by the High Court.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has decided not to appeal the High Court ruling in Supreme Court, said the JSC.
JSC suspended Hassan Najeeb on 20 November 2009 and notified him in writing that he should not attend work until further notice.
