Newly built police station in Landhoo

A police station recently built in Noonu Landhoo has been set on fire last night.

Police said that the fire was set around 2:00 a.m. last night and that it has left the building rendered useless.

The fire was extinguished around 2:20 a.m. through the efforts by Landhoo locals.

Police said that the station was constructed from funds contributed by the people of the island.

A team from Noonu Manadhoo police station is currently in Landhoo to investigate the arson.

Police said that they are trying to find the people suspected of setting the fire.
