Wataniya services reach 99 percent of population within eight years

Wataniya Telecom Maldives has said that eight years after the company arrived in the Maldives, today, its services reach 99 percent of Maldivian population.

In a message to convey greetings to customers on the occasion of its eighth anniversary, Wataniya said that over the past eight years, it has introduced numerous modern mobile technology services in the Maldives, and also noted that today, two out of every three people who use communication services in the Maldives are customers of Wataniya.

Wataniya said that its 2G service currently reaches 99 percent of the population, while its 3G+ service reaches 75 percent, and 4G service reaches 33 percent of the population.

Wataniya also practises corporate social responsibility, and contributes greatly to activities carried by individuals and NGOs for the benefit of the society.

Watniya said that every step it takes for the future is a step towards improving its services to its customers. The secret of the success it enjoys today is the result of the cooperation received from customers, the hard work of its staff, and the investment in technology development, said Wataniya.
