EC establishes national complaints bureau for presidential elections

Elections Commission has established a national complaints bureau that will look into grievances related to the upcoming presidential elections.

The Commission revealed that the bureau will be located on the second floor of the Ports Complex, the same building that housing the Elections Commission.

The Commission also said that the complaints forms to submit grievances to the bureau will be available from the Elections Commission website, the Commission’s counter, the bureau’s counter and the council offices in the islands.

Four candidates are to compete in the upcoming presidential elections, one independent and three on party tickets. Polling will take place on 7th September 2013.
