Talk of what they will do if they lose the first round is a sign of uncertainty: Spokesperson Nafiz

Forward with the Nation coalition has described opposition’s statements of how they will act if they lost the first round of voting as a sign of uncertainty.

Answering a question by Sun at a coalition press conference today, Spokesperson Abdul Rasheed Nafiz said the coalition is very confident on winning the election through the first round and thus, they do not want to talk about going to a second round of voting.

“It is not right to talk about defeat in the election at this point in time. In reality, their statements reflect how uncertain they are of whether they will win,” Nafiz said.

Nafiz said that the Forward with the Nation coalition is certain that they will win the presidential election this year and that their campaign efforts are ongoing with good momentum.

He reiterated their claim that the departure of two partners from the coalition has not effect their efforts to win the presidential election.
