Fire breaks out in caf

A fire incident has taken place in the kitchen of a café on Buruzu Magu.

The fire broke out in Café Thaaseeru 2 at around 17:30 today. The fire was soon controlled by the café staff and MNDF Fire and Rescue.

No one was hurt in this incident which left some equipment and the ceiling of the kitchen damaged.

A staff member of the café told Sun Online that the fire was caused due to the overheating of a pot of oil on the stove. He said that the staff used sand to put out the fire.
