The United Nations has launched the ‘Mark a difference’ campaign in the Maldives as part of its post-2015 global development agenda.

This campaign comes under the theme ‘My World: The United Nations Global Survey for a Better World’, and will give people the opportunity to vote for the changes that would make the most difference to their lives.

The UN has invited all citizens of the world to vote in this campaign.

The campaign was launched in the Maldives by Minister of Education Dr Asim Ahmed at a ceremony held at the UN Building in Male’ today.

Asim participated in the campaign and cast his vote at today’s ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, he said that this is an opportunity for Maldivians to make their voices heard to world leaders.

Speaking at the ceremony, UN Resident Coordinator to the Maldives Tony Lisle said that this is an important campaign for the Maldives, and noted that the Maldives had achieved great success in realising the Millennium Development Goals.

The UN has encouraged Maldivians to visit the website to vote in this campaign.

The UN said that the survey is a tool for the UN and the Secretary General’s High Level Panel on post-2015 to hear directly from people across the world about what is important to them.

The panel is headed by UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

The campaign is conducted by the UNDP, UN Millennium Campaign, ODI and Web Foundation.

The Maldivian partners of this campaign are STO, Think, Wataniya and Dhiraagu.
