Fenaka Corporation website launched

Fenaka Corporation Limited, established on 18 June 2012 by a presidential decree, has launched its website. Fenaka was established with the objective of ensuring sustainable primary services to the populace in the regions of the Maldives other than Male’, such as clean water, sewerage, electricity, and waste management services.

The website, www.fenaka.com.mv, was launched by Environment Minister Dr Mariyam Shakeela at a special ceremony held in SHE Building today.

Information will be available on the website on latest news, ongoing projects, planned projects, and other information related to Fenaka for the general public’s interest.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Shakeela said that Fenaka Corporation was established to provide important basic services to the public, and that several efforts are being made to expand and develop the services provided by the company. She noted the valuable contributions by the staff of Fenaka in strengthening its management.

“Fenaka Corporation was established following a decision to strengthen the basic services of water, sewerage, electricity and waste management which were previously being provided by several institutions. The purpose is to ensure the provision of these services at an adequate standard. So Fenaka employees’ efforts in this regard are very valuable,” she said.

Chairman of Fenaka Corporation Ahmed Nooman Ali said that Fenaka currently faces several serious financial and management challenges, and that despite these challenges, it would strive to provide the services to the best of its ability.
