Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has said that the Maldives has gained immense support during the Arabian Travel Market, the largest tourism fair in Middle East.
The Arabian Travel Market was held in Dubai from the 6th to the 9th of this month.
Speaking to Sun Online, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Tourism Maleeh Jamaal said that Maldives displayed a 100-foot long stall in the fair along with that more than 100 parties representing the country. While the stall was successful in providing information about travelling to the Maldives, the fair opened a special opportunity to speak about Maldives tourism on different media outlets, Maleeh said.
“In truth, it is the biggest travel fair in the Middle East. This is not the first time we participated in the fair. Maldives received great support this time,” Maleeh said.
Maleeh said that Maldives also participated in the activities of the World Travel Awards, Middle East category, in addition to the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference which was also held in Dubai at the same time. The Deputy Minister said that a number of hotel chains have shown interest in bringing their businesses to Maldives.
