Parts of a corpse discovered on Kurendhoo beach

Parts of a corpse has been discovered on the beach of Lhaviyani Kurendhoo.

Kurendhoo Council President Ahmed Mohamed told Sun Online that the parts were found around 17:30 yesterday.

“We have now buried the body in Kurendhoo cemetery. We suspect that it was a body that was buried in that area a long time ago. We discovered the upper torso of the body,” Ahmed said.

The area where the body was discovered was known to be used as a burial ground.
