Fire at L. Gan powerhouse results in power outage

A fire broke out at the powerhouse in L. Gan on Wednesday, resulting in island-wide power outage. 

Gan Council President Ahmed Zaki told Sun that the fire broke at approximately 14:45pm on Wednesday afternoon.

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF)’s Fire and Rescue has currently brought the fire under control.
