Twenty-two officials from key Maldivian agencies have completed an advanced training program on cybercrime investigation and digital forensics.
The Advanced Digital Forensics and Incident Response Program was held from November 15 to 20 in collaboration with the Maldives Police College and India’s Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU). The sessions were led by expert lecturers from RRU.
Participants included representatives from the Maldives Police Service, Maldives Customs Service, Maldives Immigration, Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the National Center for Information Technology, and the National Cyber Security Agency.
The program focused on the latest tools, frameworks, and methodologies for handling cyber incidents and managing digital evidence. Participants also received training in enterprise-scale and cloud-based incident response, along with risk mitigation strategies for modern digital environments.

A closing ceremony was held at Iskandhar Barracks on Thursday, attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikry, who commended the participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening national cyber capabilities.
