Dhiraagu has inaugurated its third data centre, its first located in the atolls, in N. Velidhoo, marking a key milestone in the company’s efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure and expand access to technology across the Maldives.

The inauguration ceremony was held on November 11, and was jointly officiated by Dhiraagu CEO and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed and Velidhoo Island Council President Athif Hussain.

The new facility is a Tier III Ready Data Centre, built to global standards of reliability, security, and operational excellence. It will enable resorts and businesses in the region to securely host and manage their data closer to their operations, enhancing business continuity and resilience.

According to Dhiraagu, the centre will also improve the efficiency of cloud-based services and critical applications, offering greater convenience for customers across the atolls.

Earlier this year, Dhiraagu made history by launching the Maldives’ first and only Tier IV Certified Data Centre in Hulhumale', the highest level of reliability and fault tolerance awarded by the Uptime Institute.

With this latest milestone, Dhiraagu reaffirms its position as the country’s leading digital enabler, continuing to invest in cutting-edge infrastructure that supports innovation, connectivity, and sustainable growth across the islands.
