More than 500 people attended a walk-in interview held on Saturday for 70 immigration officer positions, according to Maldives Immigration.
The interview took place at Salahuddin School in Hulhumale' Phase II. Applicants were required to bring a completed application form, CV, national ID card copy, and educational certificates. The opportunity was open to youth under the age of 30.
The advertised position offers a basic monthly salary of MVR 6,500, with an additional MVR 1,500 service allowance. Upon completion of basic training, officers will also receive a special service allowance equivalent to 35 percent of their salary.
This is the second such recruitment drive this year. A previous walk-in interview held on May 25 for 50 immigration officer posts drew 876 applicants.
