Maldives ranked 104th on Human Development Index

The human development report published by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for 2018 placed Maldives in 104th position on the Human Development Index. The report shows that the Maldives’ HDI value increased from 0.546 in 1995 to 0.719 in 2018 - an increase of 31.7 percent – putting the country in the high human development category – and positioning it at
