Google has announced a major investment in the Maldives, with plans to establish an international submarine cable landing station and network facility in Hithadhoo, Addu City. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade issued a statement on Monday welcoming the decision, which follows discussions between President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Google executives during his visit to the United States in September
