Two injured as out-of-control pickup hits dividers on bridge

 Two individuals sustained injuries after a pickup truck heading towards Hulhumale’ went out of control and collided with the center dividers on the Sinamale’ Bridge.

Maldives Police Service said the accident was reported to the authority at approximately 2:42am on early Monday morning.

According to the Police, the driver lost control of the vehicle near the traffic light by the airport and crashed into the dividers.

The Police detailed that the driver and a foreign male passenger on the pickup at the time of the accident sustained injuries. Both the pick-up and the dividers were also damaged in the accident.

The driver’s license has been withheld, and the vehicle has been towed.

The case is under further investigation by the Police.
