The Parliament is set to reconvene for an extraordinary sitting on Monday, marking the third time for the legislative assembly to reconvene during recess.
Parliamentarians were notified of the sitting via text on Thursday.
The message reads that the Parliament had received a request for an extraordinary sitting, and that one would therefore be held on Monday.
However, the Parliament has yet to release the agenda for the sitting.
“And, we hereby inform you that the agenda for the sitting will be shared later,” reads the message.
While the Parliament went into recess on August 19, it has reconvened twice for work on a referendum bill and a contentious media bill that seeks to replace the existing self-regulatory system with a government-controlled commission. The Independent Institutions Committee has also been holding regular meetings on the two bills.
The Parliament isn’t set to reconvene after recess for regular sittings until October.
