BML launches Student Card promotion with MVR 1,000 prizes

Bank of Maldives (BML) has rolled out an exciting promotion, giving 100 lucky winners the chance to win MVR 1,000 each by applying for a Student Card. 

Running from Thursday until September 30, 2025, all new applications during this period are eligible to enter the draw, offering a great incentive for families to get involved.

The Student Card is tailored for children aged 7 and above, aiming to teach practical money management skills and foster independence. Parents can send money, monitor spending, and manage the card through the BML Mobile Banking App, helping kids build healthy financial habits early on.

Issued as a Visa Debit Card, it comes with no fees and works for both local and international transactions, making it versatile for young users.

A standout feature is the annual 0.5% rebate on total spending, credited to the child’s savings account at year-end. This unique benefit encourages smart saving while spending, a first-of-its-kind perk for young cardholders. Additionally, the card offers up to 10% discounts at shops, restaurants, and bookstores via BML POS machines, adding extra value for families. 

Parents can easily apply through the BML Mobile Banking App, which also provides card management tools.
