Villa College awards scholarships worth MVR 1.5 million to eight students

Villa College has awarded scholarships worth MVR 1.5 million to eight students chosen in the lucky draw at the open day held in January 2013.

The scholarship documents were presented to the students by Villa College Rector Dr Ahmed Anwar at a ceremony held at Villa College hall yesterday.

Villa College said that five students were chosen in the lucky draw after the open day at the campus in Male’, and one student was chosen from each of the campuses in Fuvahmulah, Eydhafushi and Sh. Funadhoo.

Nizna Ali Didi told Sun Online on behalf of Villa College that the college will take care of all course-fee related expenses for those who were awarded scholarships. She said that every student will have the chance to study up to Master’s Degree.

She said that work is ongoing to reimburse the students who won the scholarships if they have paid course fees on their own.
