Dhiraagu has opened registrations for the highly-anticipated Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) 2025.

The opening of registrations was announced during a special press conference held at Dhiraagu Head Office on Tuesday.

In this regard, interested participants can now sign up for Half Marathon, 10K, 5K Open, or 5K Corporate Team categories via dmrr.dhiraagu.com.mv. The registration will close once the limit of 4,000 participants is reached.

DMRR will be held at Central Park in Hulhumale’. It marks the 16th edition of the premium running event which is the first and only international running event in the Maldives to be recognized by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and included in its World Running Calendar, with a race route certified by World Athletics.

The event brings together people and communities across the Maldives and abroad.

Speaking during the press conference, Dhiraagu’s Brand and Marketing Communications Manager Mirshan Hassan revealed that DMRR will introduce a newly certified route this year which his designed to enhance the overall race experience of the participants.

“We are looking forward to seeing increased participation in the corporate team category, alongside athletes from across the globe. Our goal is to continue fostering, a culture of fitness, competitive spirit, and community engagement through DMRR,” he added.

Continuing its meaningful tradition, DMRR 2025 is once again dedicated to the cause of child protection—a key focus of Dhiraagu’s corporate social responsibility programme. The event aims to provide a platform for NGOs to advocate for children’s rights and raise funds for their initiatives.

Dhiraagu will contribute MVR 200,000 to the top five endorsed NGOs selected by participants during registration, helping them launch their planned projects. Additionally, the company will donate MVR 100 from each registration, along with all proceeds from special bib number sales, to be equally distributed among the endorsed partner NGOs.
