HNSC suffer first defeat as Bishkek continues winning streak

Kyrgyzstan champions Bishkek moved closer to the final on Saturday as they beat Nepalese champions Help Nepal (HNSC) to secure their third consecutive win in the CAVA Men’s Champions League.

The CAVA Men’s Champions League – the biggest men’s club volleyball competition in central Asia – is taking place at the Social Center Male’ from July 17-23.

On Saturday afternoon, Bishkek won a tight match against HNSC in 3-2 sets.

Bishkek won the first set 25-20. But HNSC fought back and won the second set 28-26. Bishkek won the third set 25-20, but HNSC took the fourth set 25-17.

Bishkek started the fifth and final set strong, and won it 15-11.

The match marked the HNSC’s first defeat in the tournament, having won its previous matches against Club HDC and Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC).

Meanwhile, Bishkek continues its winning streak.

The clubs’ next matches are on Monday, when HNSC will play against Kazakh champions Zhaiyk VC, and Bishkek will face Club HDC.

The tournament’s matches are being aired live by SSTV.
