Tickets for Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Champions League – the biggest men’s club volleyball competition in central Asia – will be available for MVR 20.
The CAVA Champions League will take place from July 17-23 at the Social Center in Male’.
It will mark the first time for tickets to be sold for an international volleyball tournament held at the Social Center and the first time for such an initiative in the history of Maldivian volleyball.
The Social Center has the capacity to accommodate around 2,000 spectators. The sale of tickets, priced MVR 25, will begin at the Social Center an hour ahead of each match.
The Volleyball Association of Maldives (VAM) invites as many supporters as possible to go to Social Center to watch the matches.
VAM’s president Mohamed Latheef noted that supporters play a key role in boosting the morale of players.
The true joy of volleyball lies in watching matches with our own eyes, he said.
Latheef noted the huge support for the CAVA Women's Club Championship held in Male’ last year, and said he hopes to see the same level of enthusiasm for the upcoming tournament.
CAVA Champions League will see six clubs, including two from the Maldives, face off against each other to become the volleyball champions of central Asia.
