Fulidhoo celebrates 2ofus’ remarkable achievement in grandeur

V. Fulidhoo has celebrated the remarkable achievement by Maldivian band 2ofus, which placed second runner-up in Battle of the Bands International 2025 – one of Asia’s biggest music competitions – in grandeur.

2ofus’ achievement goes down in the history of Maldivian live music as one of its biggest successes. The band held two live concerts last Friday and Saturday at Olympus to commemorate the milestone.

The concern featured several Indian acts, including Indian fusion band, Shivoham, the teen actor and singer who made his Bollywood debut with OMG 2, Aarush Varma and acclaimed lyricist, Amitabh Verma. It was hosted by Kettan Singh, the host of this year’s edition of Indian public TV broadcaster Doordarshan’s reality show, Battle of the Bands International.

Following the show, 2ofus and the Indian artists traveled to Fulidhoo on Sunday. The island celebrated 2ofus’ achievement on a large scale through activities led by Bluestar Club, a leading figure in the field of cultural activities in the Maldives from Fulidhoo, and Kunaa Café and Bistro, a restaurant from the island.

In this regard, 2ofus was welcomed to Fulidhoo with boduberu and other cultural activities – showcasing Maldives’ traditions and culture to the Indian artists.

Speaking with Sun regarding the matter, an official from Kunaa Café said 2ofus is an artist that has regularly performed at the café before Battle of the Bands.

“That is why we wanted to celebrate their achievement. We included the Indian artists to showcase the Maldives’ beauty and culture,” the official said.

Bluestar Club and Kunaa café organized an event for 2ofus and the Indian artists where they had the opportunity to try out watersports during the trip.

2ofus, the hottest band in the Maldives at present, has a packed schedule for shows for upcoming Eid al-Adha.
