Maldivian Democratic Party's (MDP) Youth Wing Leader Aminath Shauna has been invited to serve as a “global leader in residence” at Westminster University.
English newspaper The Fulton Sun reported yesterday that the MDP lead political activist Shauna Aminath, a graduate of Westminster College, was chosen by the university to serve as the global leader in residence because of her experience as an activist in the Maldivian political arena. Shauna was a deputy under-secretary at the President’s Office during Nasheed’s presidency.
Shauna has been invited to go to Westminster next month where she is to share her political activism in the Maldives with Westminster students, reports The Fulton Sun.
Shauna, who has been seen in a number of political activities in the Maldives, was arrested and released just last week.
