Dead body found near Gulhifalhu

Police have said that a dead body has been discovered in the sea between Vilimale’ and Gulhifalhu.

They have however not yet revealed details of the body.

The discovery of a dead body comes at a time when police are carrying out a search operation for a man that fell into the sea from a German yacht a few days ago.

Superintendent of Customs Ahmed Niyaz told Sun yesterday that the yacht had entered Maldives according regulations and that it has been handed over to the police as they are still carrying out the search for the missing person.
