Dhiraagu enables donations to child shelters via app

This Ramadan, Dhiraagu has introduced a new donation feature on the DhiraaguApp, providing customers with an opportunity to create meaningful social impact.

As part of this initiative, Dhiraagu has pledged MVR 150,000 to support children under state care and is inviting customers to contribute towards this cause.

Customers can donate to:

• Fiyavathi
• Amaan Veshi
• Amaan Hiyaa

These shelters operate under the Family and Children’s Service Center of the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

Fiyavathi caters to children in the greater Male’ region, while Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa support children across the Maldives.

Customers can choose from preset amounts (MVR 10, MVR 50, MVR 100, MVR 500) and conveniently make donations via the DhiraaguApp.

Prepaid customers can utilize their remaining prepaid balance to make donations.

Key programs that will be supported through the donations include:

• Enhancing study rooms – Creating quiet and comfortable spaces with digital and learning tools.
• Installing turf in play areas – Improving recreational facilities for children.
• Skill development programs – Providing opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Job readiness program for youth above the age of 16

Dhiraagu said that inclusivity is a key pillar of the company’s CSR program. The company continues to support children under state care by providing high-speed internet to all Amaan Veshi and Amaan Hiyaa shelters across the nation, helping to meet the educational needs of children.
