Registrar of Companies Mariyam Visam resigned from her position effective March 1st--
The Registrar of Companies, Mariyam Visam has resigned from her position at the Ministry of Economic Development on Tuesday.
She confirmed her resignation to ‘Sun’ Online, and added she had tendered her resignation effective March 1st. Without disclosing further information, Visam said she resigned to pursue her career in the private sector.
Visam was appointed as the Registrar of Companies in 2014. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Economics from University of Queensland, Australia and a Bachelors Degree in Marketing Management from University of Northumbria, England.
Prior to her appointment at the Ministry of Economic Development, Visam was the Director General of Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA). She had previously filled the designations of deputy manager and manager of CMDA as well.
