Court orders release of Dr Jameel

The Criminal Court has issued a ruling demanding the release of Vice President of Gaumee Party Dr Mohamed Jameel.

The Criminal Court issued the ruling this morning at 10.00, subsequent to a hearing held for the case filed by Dr Jameel’s lawyer regarding his arrest last night.

Following the release of Dr Jameel, the Judge said that the Police cannot arrest any individual when he is taken into custody for questioning.
