Tree Top Hospital (TTH) announced on Monday that is gearing up to hold the year’s first health camp in Th. Veymandoo.

The TTH’s health camp in Veymandhoo is set to take place from February 7-8, and is part of the hospital's ongoing commitment to providing accessible healthcare services to communities across the Maldives.

The upcoming health camp in Veymandoo marks the continuation of the TTH’s community outreach initiatives, building on the success of health camps held last year in GA. Villingili, GDh. Thinadhoo, and L. Gan, which collectively served over 1,000 individuals.

Like previous camps, the upcoming one will provide vital consultations, health screenings, and health awareness sessions, aiming to address prevalent health concerns and promote healthy lifestyles.

In addition to enjoying a range of specialized medical services, visitors will be able to consult with leading specialists in various fields including:

  • Dr. Tehzeeb Faruqui – Specialist Pulmonologist
  • Dr. Anu Agrawal – Consultant Dermatologist
  • Dr. Rajesh Arvind Valand – Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist
  • Dr. Mehmet Oder – Consultant Urologist
  • Dr. Jiwan Poudel – Specialist Rheumatologist
  • Dr. Ali Muznee – Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and Trauma Surgeon
  • Dr. Mohamed Habeeb – Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and Trauma Surgeon

The health camp will provide residents of Veymandoo and surrounding islands with access to these specialists, free of charge.

The TTH is holding the health camp in partnership with the Th. Atoll Council and the Th. Atoll Hospital.

“We believe that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right, and we are committed to reaching out to communities across the Maldives.  Building on the success of our previous health camps, we are confident that this initiative will make a positive impact on the lives of the people of Th. Atoll,” said the TTH, in a statement announcing the upcoming camp.

TTH thanked the Th. Atoll Council and the Th. Atoll Hospital for support in making this health camp possible.

The hospital also announced plans to conduct more health camps throughout the year, expanding its reach and serving more communities in need.
