Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has released ‘Vaane’ – a book authored by award-winning young journalist and TV personality Mohamed Naail Hafeez.
The book by Naail, 20, who works as the multimedia editor at Sun Online, was released by Hussain in a ceremony held at the vice president’s official residence in Male’ on Wednesday morning.
‘Vaane’ focuses on encouraging young men and women to work hard to achieve success in their youth.
It also provides insights into why Naail chose to pursue a career in journalism and his experiences in his journalistic career.
“The day I received the Most Promising Journalist Award, I resolved to inspire fellow youths to gain courage from me,” he said.
Naail hopes the book delivers a message of hope to the youth.
“I hope this book sends a message to youths, to readers, to utilize courage and energy in their young age to work towards becoming a successful person,” he said.

Naail began his career in journalism at the age of 16. He received the Maldives Media Council (MMC)’s 2022 Most Promising Journalist Award.
He is currently working on furthering his journalistic career and supporting other aspiring journalists.
