Hulhumale’ court has extended the duration of the permission granted to former President Mohamed Nasheed to go abroad until Saturday. The initial permission was until today.
Members of Nasheed’s legal team Hassan Latheef said that the extension came following a request made from the court today, as Nasheed’s visit to India is not yet complete.
Meanwhile, former Chief of Defence Force Moosa Ali Jaleel has also requested permission to go abroad. Charges are being pressed by the state against him as well, regarding the unconstitutional arrest of Chief Judge of Criminal Court Abdullah Mohamed.
The court said that Moosa Ali Jaleel has requested to go abroad from 30 January to 15 March.
A trial on the case regarding the arrest of Chief Judge of Criminal Court Abdullah Mohamed has been scheduled for Sunday.
