Ooredoo Maldives has successfully conducted a “Grow with Ooredoo” session in Addu City’s Feydhoo as part of its ongoing commitment to fostering inclusivity and sustainability.
The session was held on Monday in collaboration with Feydhoo Avashu Office.
Targeted towards the elderly, the session saw participation from both males and females. It was aimed at providing practical tips for cultivating sustainable gardens in their homes.
Ramzee Hussain, Ooredoo’s “Grow with Ooredoo” Brand Ambassador, led the session, who shared his expertise in home gardening and sustainable practices.
The participants were provided hands-on demonstrations and insightful discussions tailored to the needs of the elderly community, emphasizing the benefits of gardening for physical and mental well-being.
Ooredoo reported a fantastic turnout, adding participants actively engaged in activities and shared their own experiences. The telecom company said participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to learn new skills and connect with their peers in a supportive environment.
As per Ooredoo, the event is part of the telecom company’s larger effort to hold inclusive events for the elderly, ensuring they remain active contributors to the community. In this trajectory, they said “Grow with Ooredoo” series will continue to visit various islands across the Maldives, promoting sustainable practices and fostering connections among participants.
Ooredoo reiterated its commitment to building inclusive communities by designing initiatives that cater to diverse groups, including the elderly.
“By empowering this demographic through knowledge-sharing and practical skills, the company aims to enhance their quality of life and enable them to contribute to environmental sustainability,” they added.
