DRP decides to hold congress on the last week of March

Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP) has decided to hold its congress on the last week of March this year.

DRP spokesperson Zeena Zahir said today that the decision was made by the party council today.

Zeena said that during the congress, elections will be held for two deputy leader posts which are currently vacant. She said that elections for youth wing leaders and women’s wing leaders will also be held during the congress. Zeena said that amendments proposed to the party’s regulation will also be asked for vote.

The party’s announcement for a date to hold congress comes after indefinitely cancelling its last congress, which was to be held December.
