Speedboat collision: 12 injured; no one in serious condition

Police states 12 people were injured in the collision between two speedboats near K. Gulhifalhu on Friday evening, however, no one is in serious condition.

Police, in a message to the media, said the accident was reported to the authority at approximately 19:34pm this evening.

As per information circulating on social media, the two speedboats that collided were Grand Park Kodhipparu PKD-19 and Feridhoo Tours Senora.

Police said 12 people injured in the accident are currently being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Sun has learned that all 12 people sustained minor injuries.

Officers are also active at the scene of the investigation, said the Police.

Earlier, the authority reported the number of injured as four.
