Fuvahmulah-Medhu MP Shifag Mufeed (Histo) has donated multimedia equipment for a classroom of Fuvahmulah School and digital equipment for the x-ray room of Fuvahmulah Hospital, worth about MVR500,000.
The multimedia classroom of the Fuvahmulah Atoll Education Centre was handed over to the school by founder of ‘Histo Initiative’ Shifag Mufeed, at a ceremony held this morning.
In an interview to Sun Online today, Histo said that MVR150,000 had been spent on the multimedia equipment for the island school’s classroom, and that the technology will allow the principal to communicate with the classroom via the main network.
“The school opened a fund to provide multimedia classrooms for the secondary high school A’Level classes. So our organisation decided, in addition to contributing to the fund, to convert one of the rooms into a multimedia classroom,” he said.
He said that the organisation had decided to convert the remaining classrooms into multimedia classrooms as well.
Two days ago, the organisation also donated equipment worth MVR350,000 to improve the standard of the x-ray room of the island hospital.
